Donald Trump is making a good first impression abroad this week. He’s impressed the Egyptian president and prompted a rare moment of goodwill toward Palestine from the Israelis.
Israeli ministers have approved measures aimed at improving the Palestinian economy and facilitating crossings, rare moves said to be at Donald Trump’s request hours ahead of the US president’s arrival.
An Israeli official told AFP on condition of anonymity that ministers were responding to a Trump request to present him with “confidence-building measures” ahead of his talks with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas on Tuesday.
In a statement, Trump’s administration welcomed the moves, saying he “has been encouraging both sides to take steps that improve the environment for peace making.”
“He has expressed particular interest in taking steps to improve the Palestinian economy in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.”
In what the Israeli official described as a “gesture for Trump’s visit, which does not harm Israel’s interests”, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet on Sunday approved the enlargement of a Palestinian industrial zone on the edge of the southern West Bank.
This development might sound surprising, but Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi likely expected nothing less. During Trump’s overseas trip, el-Sisi claimed that Trump is “capable of doing the impossible.”

I find it a shame when foreign countries who puts aside all the trash they heard on this man on MSM and see’s a human who is not only smart, but can see both sides of the coin and work with others .. it’s a shame the democrats and RINO’s in washington are still trying to hold on to their power of money leading their beliefs… a damn shame. BUT the people who took the year while he campaigned to study his past and to see his personality of believing nothing is impossible if working hard enough for it is what drew us to him.. The saddest part of all is the same ones who hate with such hatred they can’t see anything good in him will be the same ones who continue to try to bring him down.. he has a target cross on his back but if we who support him knew that we’d have a hard row to hoe and we needed someone who could let the PC witches hatred roll off his back.
