Democrats Elect Two Transgenders, Coming One Step Closer to Removing Straight White Cisgender Men From Their Ranks

Did you know that there were more elections in Virginia, New Jersey, Maine and Washington than just for Andrea Jenkins and Danica Roem?  Bet you didn’t, because these two are the only ones you hear about and they happen to be two transgender candidates.  In fact, there were hundreds more, but you will not hear about those.  These two individuals have even eclipsed the Democrat governors who have won (both of whom, by the way…Ralph Northam in Virginia, and Phil Murphy in New Jersey…are straight, White, cisgender dudes) and that has a lot of Republicans happy.

Why happy?  Well, the fact that many young Democrats are beginning to shy away from the hard Left stance of the party is telling in that if the media is going to continue to push identity politics over quality politics, we are in for a media circus the likes of which we’ve not seen since the stain on the Blue Dress.

In a new poll, the suggestion is that most Democrat voters (particularly younger Socialist-leaning voters) are pretty much done with identity politics and have graduated to a more esoteric and mundane truth:  Gimme, gimme, gimme!  They have responded to a question regarding the DACA members who are being possibly threatened with expulsion from this country with a big, mouthy yawn and a ho-hum.  In fact, they are 100% focused on this whole Trump-Russia collusion investigation and want it to be expanded, believe it or not!

That, my friends, is great news for us.  On the one hand, the Democrat Party leadership is pushing the identity politics agenda, and on the other, the Democrat voters are asking for more of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation.  That is a political win-win for us.  The DNC, by pushing identity politics, is at once shoving the voters aside and saying, in essence, we don’t care what you think…this is what we’re focusing on!  Much like what happened with the whole Clinton-Sanders competition.  This will necessarily drive voters away from the polls.

The voters, by asking for more Trump-Russia collusion investigation, are pressing the Democrat leadership’s backs up against the cliff edge.  They don’t want more investigation because too much of the evidence is boomeranging back on the Democrats.  The voters have been primed and the story has been ginned up so much over the past year by the Fake News Industrial Complex that they have no other original thoughts in their heads but that Trump stole the election from Hillary through collusion with Russia.

Win-win.

And just to keep you up to speed, the queer champion website, Astraea, has gone above and beyond with their congratulations for the two transgender candidates who won in this past election.

The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, the exclusive funder of LGBTQI organizations and individuals in the U.S. and around the globe, issued the following statement congratulating Andrea Jenkins and Danica Roem on their respective election victories to lead in Minneapolis and the state of Virginia respectively. Both women are openly transgender and their victories symbolize major victories on behalf of queer representation in U.S. politics.

“The results of Tuesday’s elections remind us that the people have a voice and they will continue to exercise it. The victories of Danica Roem and Andrea Jenkins symbolize an electoral response to the divisive rhetoric that has surrounded nearly every electoral race of the past year,” said J. Bob Alotta, Executive Director of the Astraea Foundation.
“Andrea Jenkins is the first transgender person of color elected to a major city’s governing body and Danica Roem will be first openly transgender person elected official in Virginia. Both of these women are ‘firsts’ ushering a much-needed social agenda that focuses much more on ability – in this case to lead effectively – than labels. While no one should worry that their sexuality or gender identity impacts their ability to contribute to our society politics must be actively inclusive. Queer individuals, and other underrepresented groups have particularly poignant views to offer; our voices must be heard. I am so proud of these women and look forward to many more LGBTQI victories in 2018 and beyond as others are inspired to take up the mantel and lead the next generation of activists. This election is a reminder that we should never run from our values of inclusion and justice, but rather use them as our foundation and strategy to win,” concluded Alotta.

“The victories of Danica Roem and Andrea Jenkins symbolize an electoral response to the divisive rhetoric that has surrounded nearly every electoral race of the past year.”

Sure, Mr. Alotta…divisive rhetoric.  Like when the Democrat Party says, “No straight, White, cisgender men need apply.”  Let’s not forget that the only party stating unequivocally that certain people can’t join is the Democrat Party.  And by the way, what’s with listing the white transgender before the black transgender?  Sounds a bit racist to me.  Just saying.
