“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both“ were the words of Benjamin Franklin on the idea of liberty, and they still hold truth to this day. CNN news anchor Jake Tapper doesn’t seem to agree with him, as he is quoted saying “I think the American people, honestly, want security over freedom.”
Despite the growing trend of Americans valuing liberty over security CNN seems to think the government has the right to tread over your freedom in the name of security.
