7th Grader Told to Deny God or Fail

Seventh graders experienced a form of Christian persecution perpetrated by their reading teacher at West Memorial Junior High School near Houston, Texas.  Jordan Wooley stood before the school board and shared how her teacher insulted her faith, along with others in the classroom.

“Our teacher had started off saying that the assignment had been giving problems all day, and we were asked to take a poll to say whether God is fact, opinion or a myth,” Wooley said.

“And she told anyone who said fact or opinion is wrong and that God is only a myth.”

Wooley described how the teacher went on to tell students who believed in God “they were completely wrong.”

Parents of the students were extremely upset by this teacher who would fail their children for their belief in God.

“Another child had asked the teacher if we could like try to put what we believe in on the paper, and she said you can if you want to get the problem wrong, and you’ll fail the paper if you do.”

Governor Abbot has invited Jordan Wooley to the Governor’s Mansion as a way to honor her for standing up courageously for her faith.
