Is this becoming some kind of national trend?
More and more officers in uniform are being refused service at restaurants. Fast food employees apparently need a refresher course in customer service. In the latest case, a Whataburger employee has been fired after turning away two North Texas police officers from a Lewisville location. The story is related by the officers on the next page:

Simple solution, when a robber shows up at a Whataburger, the cops need to refuse service to them.
