Welfare is one of the most heated debates among American citizens. Those who believe it’s a poor use of government spending are always at odds with those who keep getting the checks in the mail. Anybody able to approach the topic from an outside perspective can see why the entire concept of welfare might be upsetting to people who actually work for a living.
While there might some rare cases where people actually need government assistance, a majority of Americans currently on welfare are either immigrants or people who don’t want to work because they the government keeps sending them money, like the 30-year-old mother from Baltimore who has been on welfare for 12 years.

Hmmm, I had a friend that was trying to get off welfare but as soon as her husband worked 40 hours on a low paying job they stopped helping them. They had 2 sets of twins. BTW, not all immigrants Live off the system. In my family my aunt had 9 kids no help with government, and she worked 4 jobs and still kept them clean…

If you get welfare you must do community service – that’s it! Put these women and men in our nursing homes that are so short of help. Let them help clean a few behinds, wash and folks clothes. Help in our schools painting and fixing and cleaning, Help in the kitchens and you’ll see people her off of it real quick! They’ll figure if they have to work they want to get paid, There ya go!
