Welfare is one of the most heated debates among American citizens. Those who believe it’s a poor use of government spending are always at odds with those who keep getting the checks in the mail. Anybody able to approach the topic from an outside perspective can see why the entire concept of welfare might be upsetting to people who actually work for a living.
While there might some rare cases where people actually need government assistance, a majority of Americans currently on welfare are either immigrants or people who don’t want to work because they the government keeps sending them money, like the 30-year-old mother from Baltimore who has been on welfare for 12 years.

Another welfare success story. I’m sure her parents are so proud. This is why welfare needs to be abolished, worthless government freeloaders who think that they are entitled.
This is why I feel that we shouldnt have any sort of a welfare system. It promotes a slovenly society filled with underachievers who drag us productive people down.
(And before you start, SS is a public funded program that is not a government program. We fund it with our own money and the government doesn’t match contributions, so that means that all of the money i get out of SS is only the money I put into SS. It is my own money as part of a forced retirement program and not a welfare program.)
Wow yeah blame Obama for a system that has been in place for years…longer than her has been in office you people are shamefully racist.
You Notice This Is The Only Program Our Government Never Threatens! It’s Alway Social Security, They Want To Stop, Why? Because Taxpayers Paid Into That While Working, and The Government Has Blown The Money! Can you imagine the money we could save, If We Stopped This Kind Of Nonsense! Picking up trash is a start
The entire system is out of control and the lazy of USA know it. The entire system needs to stop as it is now. Jobs ARE OUT THERE. No effort seen in securing a job means to me, they don’t need $. Good. Discontinue their welfare and all the stamps,etc. And re distribute it to our vets,road construction,and all the other infrastructure that is lacking in OUR COUNTRY. I’m just sick of seeing this welfare mess EVERY TIME I check out at a store. LET’S DO SOMETHING!!!!!
