Nobody in their right mind would want a nuclear war anywhere, including on the Korean peninsula. We’ve already got a war going on there between the North and South for over 60 years. The only veil of peace has been a cease-fire that has more or less held for all but the first few years of the war. There is no peace treaty. The nations are technically still at war.
The world over have turned a blind eye, or simply chose to ignore sparking the political powder keg that resides in the North, but Trump and his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are now in the game and seem willing to fight fire with fire.
The unstable and bellicose leader of North Korea makes no effort to hide his nation’s quest for nuclear weapons. Especially ones he can deliver anywhere in the world.
This has the potential to develop into an incredibly nasty situation.
Unfortunately, things are heating up as discussed on page two.
It’ll never happen
Hey all you war experts, do you know how hard it would be to learn Chinese? They won’t stand for us using nukes next door to them. Do you know how much devastation about 25 or thirty tossing back and forth would bring to this world? We are not talking about a Hiroshima sized nuke any more, they are 10,000 times more powerful. What on earth would there be left living for. Cancer? Quit talking like that dope President we have! Start thinking diplomacy again for kids sake!
If you fight N Korea you’re going to fight China. So pre-emptive strikes are not an option. Need to continue to work through China to get their lap dog under control. Along with a little covert effort in N Korea to subvert their regime.
The VX Kim used to kill his half brother was a loud warning to the world: He is not afraid to unleash hell. But he is stupid and arrogant enough to think he can intimidate us. The smart approach would be to take him out in a covert op, then negotiate with the emerging leader, and offer$#%&!@*tons of food for peace. Or they can be parking lot attendants if they survive.
As a Lockheed guy, you would know better than most, but I believe NK is vulnerable to our air power. Warthogs make short work of most ground threats, provided we still have enough of them. I doubt they have any significant air power, that’s why they threaten with missiles, and are very upset when one of our B-1s cruises by their air space.
they better shut up & remember what we did to Japan
Would be ALOT!!! of dead koreans, and americans.
Someone forgot about the north vietnamese!! They where the most formidable foe the us has fought since the hapanese
Chris Amaral, I’m 62 and my memory is as good as it used to be, but I think I remember we lost about 4,000 Americans in Iraq. How about you lead and the rest of us will follow if you go first, dumb$#%&!@*
Hes like a fat little elementary school bully. Give me your lunch money before I beat you up.
