Nobody in their right mind would want a nuclear war anywhere, including on the Korean peninsula. We’ve already got a war going on there between the North and South for over 60 years. The only veil of peace has been a cease-fire that has more or less held for all but the first few years of the war. There is no peace treaty. The nations are technically still at war.
The world over have turned a blind eye, or simply chose to ignore sparking the political powder keg that resides in the North, but Trump and his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are now in the game and seem willing to fight fire with fire.
The unstable and bellicose leader of North Korea makes no effort to hide his nation’s quest for nuclear weapons. Especially ones he can deliver anywhere in the world.
This has the potential to develop into an incredibly nasty situation.
Unfortunately, things are heating up as discussed on page two.
Every time I see a picture of Un, reminds me of the fat kid at summer camp who ate all of the left over hot dogs, then threw up all over the tent.
He can’t reach the red button, we are safe
Look how long diplomacy alone has NOT worked.
Like a dry fart in a marsh breeze. Poof and gone.
Once the Japanese were out of Korea, Soviet Communism moved into the North. It didn’t take more than a handful of years for the DPRK to try to overrun the South… and the US was still at an all time high for manpower and armaments. Remember this is only 5 years after WW-II. When it came down to fighting on the peninsula, it still ate up 36,000 American dead, (7,800 still MIA), and 217,000 South Koreans. Even with today’s standoff armament capability, it will still take boots on the ground to secure the North. Last time, we had the help of 16 other nations, this time… Maybe not so many.
Surgical strike, cut
The head off the snake.
Surgical strikes on their nuke sites, simultaneously bomb the$#%&!@*out of their artillery, then have the ROK army liberate their brothers and sisters.
Agreed
Way too complicated! White hot flash and move on to the next issue.

Good short read. I think it was you that said that China is the real threat and that it wouldn’t be a walk in the park. Kind of hard to mitigate all that artillery pointing south.
