Walmart has been installing facial recognition cameras at eye level in the entrances of their new store fronts for some time now. These cameras not only have the ability to cross reference you with social media networks to put a name with the face, but utilzes software that has the ability to ascertain a great many things about the environment. How much exactly is unknown, but in the video on the next page you can see that it not only tracks faces, but can categorize objects and motion.

Maybe the US Govt needs to install these camera on the borders (US-Mexico border fence). That climbing fence option would be a great addition to help out the border patrol guards etc.
I don’t see what the big deal is here. The video commentator makes this sound like it’s a big conspiracy like big brother is watching you…Lol Get a life dude, this is just for better photo quality when it comes to loss prevention and security reasons. Yes it’s at eye level you idiot, so you better not steal anything. #stupidpeopleannoythefuckoutofme
Yup, Big Brother is watching you–and getting better and better at it.
I don’t blame them one bit. I run a rather large store and I wish we had this. We rely on photo’s to know when a well known crook is in our place.
Very interesting boardering on being impressive
Bill Lammon we are all dumber for having read your bogus reply
LOL. The only reason anyone would be afraid of these cameras is if you are a shoplifter or a terrorist. Otherwise, what are they going to find and use against you? You think they are going to come to your house and reprimand you because you didn’t buy the Non-GMO Organic Bananas? Get a LIFE people. These are security cameras which are used to identify the hoodlums running out of the store with stolen goods. The old blurry pictures from old systems were worthless. Bunch of pompous, self important morons on here thinking They are soooo important that Wal-Mart wants to spy on them. Laughable to say the least.
Just keep looking down at your phones & they won’t get a good image…
In response to the military trailers in the “Backwoods” near Texarkana…I live in Texarkana and have since 1973, that equipment is in an off depot storage facility. This is only a couple of miles from Red River Army Depots back gate. They repair and refurbish a lot of military equipment that has come back from combat. Everything from Humvees, tanks, heavy trucks to small boats and many various trailers. On the trailers, they repair axels, lights and wiring, trailer brakes, paint structure repair, ect. Depending on what else is going on in the Middle East, they will have a backlog of gear waiting on repair or waiting to ship out. Trailers are the safest option for offsite storage than any other vehicle. I have many friends that work or has worked there over the years and feel certain I would have heard something was off if it had been. I don’t trust Obama at all, but I truck my Conservative friends that are civilian employees at RRAD for many years. Just saying.
They are part of the big brother watching
