Walmart has been installing facial recognition cameras at eye level in the entrances of their new store fronts for some time now. These cameras not only have the ability to cross reference you with social media networks to put a name with the face, but utilzes software that has the ability to ascertain a great many things about the environment. How much exactly is unknown, but in the video on the next page you can see that it not only tracks faces, but can categorize objects and motion.

I have much less heartache with this than I do with government intrusion.
well if we didnt have thugs stealing all the time ,we wouldnt have to worry ,some countries cut your fingers off , for stealing sounds good to me
I stopped going to Walmart when they folded to a politically correct agenda. Nothing there is made in the US anyhow… its all Chinese junk …
fuk walmart$#%&!@*s
Why? And why is it a problem. We KNOW that all of this technology is out there. I would assume that, for the most part, these cameras make things safer? (Not the looking in my purse and car mess, though!) Doesn’t bother me. (What does bother me is the RFID that Walmart put in their clothing, about 6 to 10 years ago, that will allow them to connect me to my debit card/bank account, and pinpoint where I am. NO!)
can you tell me where I lost my keys?
There is nothing wrong with this? If you are an honest shopper, then you will have no problem with this technology.
There are pros and cons, these cameras may just save a life one day or catch a criminal.
Walmart employees had enough to worry about without the threat of people having motive to steal their faces.
It’s amazing how people know everything about nothing…..
