Walmart has been installing facial recognition cameras at eye level in the entrances of their new store fronts for some time now. These cameras not only have the ability to cross reference you with social media networks to put a name with the face, but utilzes software that has the ability to ascertain a great many things about the environment. How much exactly is unknown, but in the video on the next page you can see that it not only tracks faces, but can categorize objects and motion.

Ok, Considering I program and set up systems just like this for a living. I can tell you you are so full of sh!t on this it’s laughable. I am not a fan of big brother type sh!t, but dude you’re making us look real bad here… But to correct you on a point or two… These systems can handle way more than 16 cameras each. (I’ve programmed systems with 75 cameras going to one server, X4 = 300 cameras…. Two, the “jumping fence” that has to be programmed to say that. It doesn’t “know” that…. You should try to save some sort of credibility to your page, and the cause and remove this or, at least do a bit more research.
it is not Walmart spying on me that concerns me
The government has done this for a decade and Should’ve seen this coming, really and Because we trust the feds to use this responsibly…
I am gonna look for one when I go there in a bit….I’ll take pics if one is present.
yes you need gl$#%&!@*es on
Walmarts will be central stations if theres a full lock down of cities, its for facial recognition
Walmart has a lot of theft. The store I work at recently installed these cameras. Last year though the loss for our store was 3.47 MILLION so yeah I expect more security. They also have uniformed security from outside company checking reciepts and uniformed cops on weekends
if your not stealing then you have nothing to worry about…
good for them. i don’t shop there anyway.
