This incident certainly reveals how absolutely backwards our country has become. This week a man went to Walmart to have a cake made of the Confederate flag with the words “Heritage Not Hate” inscribed.
He was refused.
Walmart states that they are not selling the Confederate flag or any products associated with it, and therefore their bakery won’t make cakes of the Rebel flag either.

People are acting irrationally and hysterically Remember Mr. Spock And try to think with logic and not emotion ……If we ban any flag then all are fair game …the Gay Pride flag , the ISIS flag, the flag of the nation. If we ban flags we can ban , books , art , ideas , clothing and on and on .. Does that sound like the USA to you ??? …Don’t give away a smidgeon of your freedom . Charlie I wasn’t saying YOU specifically wanted to go back to segregation. I simply said if YOUR interpretation of the law were true that any business owner could decide to discriminate based on race and we are right back to the 50’s.
I grew up in a time where the stores had signs that said “we have the right to refuse ANYONE service at any time” and “no shirt, no shoes, no service”. He does have a valid point.

Frank, businesses still have that right…AS LONG AS the refusal ISN’T based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. It really is that simple.
