An Army veteran attending University of Wyoming was told that as a senator in its student government he should not say the Pledge of Allegiance before meetings. The reason: It might offend international students.
“Multiple senators sat me down and said it was a ‘very touchy subject’ and ‘we don’t want to offend anybody,’” former Army Staff Sgt. Cory Schroeder told the education watchdogCampus Reform Tuesday.

Why do we care about upsetting others and do not care about upsetting ourselves. It upsets me that people in other countries are beheading citizens from my country. It upsets me that people in other countries are blowing up people from my country. It upsets me that people from other countries casually murder people from anywhere they please including their own neighbors. I am upset that the Pledge has been dropped from schools and many activities. I am upset that the moment of silence, meditation or prayer has been removed. Since it upsets me shouldn’t it all be restored?
