Socialism always starts as a “people’s movement,” with mindless and ignorant people being directed by elitist con men in the background, telling the foolish that by bringing down the “rich,” everyone will share in the abundance that socialism will bring. It is always a lie, and invariably almost all the people end up in poverty, with the exception of the top socialist leaders who live like kings. Fidel Castro is certainly one who has lived that life, and his protege, Hugo Chavez destroyed the Venezuelan economy pursuing the same socialist policies.
When the economy comes crashing down, it is necessary for the leadership to blame an outside source, and when Chavez was alive, he continually named the United States for all of the woes the country was suffering from. In fact, the oil rich country provides 9 percent of the U.S. gross oil imports, which must be a considerable sum of export income to the nation of 30 million people. As such, the U.S. provided a huge portion of the countries income, but Chavez resented that as well.
Venezuela has expropriated foreign and domestic businesses, which means that the people have little invested in the country and are becoming very unhappy with the leadership as it nosedives to complete economic ruin.

Left always blaming the right. Zero accountability. Maybe that’s the meaning of socialism. Take from producers and then blame the producers when it fails
Todd Burgun maybe that is because the feds are taking all the tax dollars. 3/4 of my tax dollars go to the federal government. Maybe the fed should only tax the states enough to secure our nation and fulfill their constitutional obligations, and no more. The states then tax the citizens to pay for local roads, libraries, etc. The powers not specifically granted to the federal government are reserved for the states. Originally, this included direct taxation. Then the feds got bigger and started expanding their reach and dominance. We are far from the true constitutional republic we were designed to be. The federal government is out of control. Power needs to be returned to the states and to the people where it belongs
That works great in a time when travel was limited. In to days world, when people move about for work and other reasons, at ease and with frequency, we need a more unified government.
You know, so that if you eat pork in one state, it would be just as safe in another.
And you want BERNIE.

Says this FOX”News” Republican website. Seek the truth elsewhere.
There has been socialism from the FIRST of this country. “…Provide for the common defense…”. Socialism is a tool. It can be a PART of the system, but not the whole system. Social Security, national highway system, lending libraries, fire departments, police department etc. All for the common good, which is a form of socialism.
Good thing they have breadlines…
Lol … This is not socialism … It’s barbaric communism
Anyone who would believe that by destroying the makers of wealth and employment they can better their lives, deserves to be wiping their arses with their bare hands and eating grass and leaves.
