Does this governor-elect have any teeth in his words or is it all political tongue wagging?
In an interview, Gov.-elect Greg Abbott, the current attorney general, said Texas Obama’s frequent vows to invoke questionable executive power to change immigration law have forced Texans to prepare for yet another “surge” of illegals crossing from the south.
Texas has shouldered considerable expense dealing with the problem of illegal immigration that’s being worsened by the White House, Abbott said, and one horn of any lawsuit would be getting the federal government to pay for problems it’s causing.
But he said the larger point is that immigration laws are made by the country from Capitol Hill, not the White House.
“We’re expecting the White House will not cross the line,” he said. “If the president crosses the line, he’s going to see an overwhelming rejection of what he’s trying to do.”
I hope Obama is stopped
Good man !!!!
I’m so proud to be a Texan. I voted for Mr Abbott. Oh and Albert..my fiance is of hispanic background. He also voted for Abbott as did his brothers. Keeping illegals, wherever they come from out, is not racist. It’s protecting our boarders from harm. Its protecting our way of life. The way of life people cross oceans to try and procure. Only people with racist thoughts are the ones that calls others racist.
That is why I voted for him…. he has the backbone and will do exactly what he says.
He’s the former attorney general. Doesn’t he realize that something like this would take years to work its way through the courts? By then the damage is already done.
Is he already veering from the issues he ran on? typical
SOMEONE needs to stop Obama from destroying our great country…We have laws and they should apply to even the President!
Put the Texas Army National Guard at the border right now. Contact Jan Brewer in Arizona and have her do the same with her soldiers. Let them rotate their weekend drill there. Also let them rotate their annual training there. Coordinate with the battalion commanders and use your executive powers in the state to do what’s best for Texas.
Awesome! I was hoping to have more politicians frivolously suing each other at my expense.
Please…. Please someone stop that madman!
