It’s not often that you hear someone from Hollywood speak sense, so when it does happen it’s best that we pay close attention.
In case anyone was unable to deduce where the vast majority of the film and entertainment industry’s sympathies lay, this year’s long, bitter election cycle made it very clear: they are almost entirely in the pocket of the Democratic Party. And while it’s certainly been no secret that stars like George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cher are staunch liberals, it became much more apparent by the hysterical way they reacted to Donald Trump’s campaign for the presidency.
Instead of seeking to understand what motivated people to support Donald Trump, Hollywood decided to demonize their fellow Americans and accuse them of racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry. Now that the election is over however, some brave voices are speaking out against the industry’s condescending liberalism.

They believe they are the elite. If you don’t agree with them, they will call you one or more
Ignorant names. In Actuality, they are just actors. Overpaid at that
What I find odd about Hollywood is that they think…they really really think… that their opinions matter to me. They don’t.
Look, people…how many refugees and homeless folk are camping out on ‘Meryl’s street’? These people give a few hundred thousand to a cause and walk away with a couple million. Do any of THEIR kids go to the same type of Public school as the rest of us? And when they ‘speak’ on behalf of political causes, how much are they being paid to do so? And televised live in front of an audience at an awards exhibition which friends and insiders give one another trophies for what?…reading scripts? Try to present yourself as a homeless person or refugee and walk into one of these celebrities’ gated communities and see how well you are received.
Tim Allen. In 1978. he was convicted of possession of cocain. One and a half pounds. Should of got life in prison. Turned snitch. Fine Republican.
So true. Countless posts called Trump supporters racists, sexist, women supporters must have low self esteem, etc etc. Some “friends” posted they think less of those who supported Trump, some friends.
Last week’s Bloomberg magazine had an article examining why Pres Trump’s TPP policy could be a problem for the Movie industry. Apparently they aren’t doing all that well here, so they’re depending heavily on China where they’re building a bazillion theaters and have millions already invested in huge new releases. Also, they need to keep China friendly and see themselves, rightly so, as being a world wide commodity. Think this could be the real reason for all the actors’ ire?
And Tim Allen
