“Thou shalt not travel to Mississippi” demand the governors of Washington, New York, and Vermont. Mississippi’s new legislation is believed to be mean spirited and discriminatory and thus these governors feel it is in their power to limit travel of their own citizenry.
Reminiscent of the big brother behavior of the Mayor of San Fransisco, who made similar demands of city employees banning travel to North Carolina, these governors are overstepping their authority.
The mayoral panties are all twisted up because North Carolina has passed legislation preventing anti-discrimination protection for lesbian, gay and transgender people thus nullifying a Charlotte ordinance that allowed for transgender bathroom use of the opposite gender.
City workers were banned by the Lee from “non-essential” travel to North Carolina, Truth and Action reports.
The Mississippi legislation is viewed as discriminatory against the LGBT community, yet in actuality it protects all citizens of Mississippi from government over reach by protecting “sincerely held religious beliefs and moral convictions of individuals, organizations and private associations.”
Citizens of Mississippi who hold religious convictions are given the freedom to exercise their faith without repudiation. Under this legislation, people of faith will be protected if they deny wedding services to same-sex couples. It also allows employers to take their religious beliefs to inform such work place values such as dress code and bathroom or locker access.
The legislation does not remove civil rights from any one group, but strengthens the First Amendment for all.

Burt god forbid you were in an accident and lost your $#%&!@*, would not having one make you less of a male? Of course not because you would still be male. A $#%&!@*or vajayjay’ doesn’t determine one’s gender, they are merely genitals.
Scientific proof of the missed connection of brain and body for assigned sex in transgender people doesn’t connect at the time which occurs in the womb in the first to third trimester when both the brain and body of the fetus connect to determine its sex.
Mind you some late bloomers who gathered their courage late in life to become who they are/felt as their entire lives dont mesh quite well as others who have been on hormonal treatment and living as the preferred gender for years but even those late bloomers have sense enough to use appropriate restrooms practicing common sense as to not scare the public leaving them to keep using the restroom they match.
Timmy I hear you and have debated your point for years because I’ve met grown men who looked, dressed and acted as men but swore they felt female and worked the system to acquire female documentation. As a transgender woman myself I believe that one has to be true to oneself therefore having to present oneself as the gender they feel to be but these people Didnt and it confused and disturbed me because they Didnt even try to represent the gender inwhich they felt to be and I found their claims to be ludicrous.
I believe that no person should be allowed to use the opposite sex’s restroom until verified by physiatric professionals because its frightening to imagine a pervert or rapist or god forbid a pedaphile to dupe the system in order to enter any restroom. In all of my years the typical transgender person does not represent the gender they were born in so these individuals live as the opposite sex until surgeries and sexual reassignment surgery.
I had a transgender neighbor with the mentality of a gay man who Didnt like making the effort to present herself as the transgender woman she claimed and presented to be during the day because she found it easier walking out her front door with a man’s stubble and with no makeup or female attire and neighbors would address her as male because she looked the part as male. I suggested that if one expects respect as the gender/identity one feels to be one must always make the effort to represent themselves as their preferred gender otherwise one is simply not being true to oneself and playing dressup.
For those types i would recommend and mandate counseling because in society I as a human being get confused as to what I should address someone by who they represent themselves to be may it because electrolysis or surgeries are too expensive or they’re careless or what not but it is an issue/concern .
Nowadays there’s people insisting that they are nonbinary or dont use labels because they’ve been misled by I’ll qualified therapist or lgbt agencies to believe its acceptable to go around presenting one gender while crying wolf claiming to be the opposite which I find to be incorrect, unfair and damaging.
Annette as I stated before the transgender people already using their preferred restrooms either pass for that gender or resemble closely that gender so chances are you never knew or saw what I mean.
Trust me gay men as gay or flamboyant as some may be do not wish to utilize women’s bathrooms because they’re sure of who they are which is gay men.
This whole fight for using the preferred restroom was originated last year I believe from transgender children who were being harassed, mistreated, and bullied at school for using their preferred restroom.
Usually by age four or five a transgender person instinctively knows they are in the wrong body just as heterosexual people know early on that they are complete and sure of who they are. In NYC thankfully their is a new law allowing transgender people use their preferred restroom and think all human beings should live peacefully.
insane is a good word for this they should look back in history …try to tell the american people where and what they can do…hhhmmm
So I guess the party of tolerance isn’t so tolerant of the wishes of other peoples huh?

Get ready for the tidal way America. Morality, common sense, rule of law, Etc, is going out the window. We won’t even recognize America if the Dems take over the white house and the supreme court. Freedom of religion, gun rights, Etc, will be a thing of the past. If you stay home or vote third party you are voting for the end of America by your stupidity.
So what if they have family there? This is so fucking ridiculous.
