Texas Senator John Cornyn might be a Republican from a deep-red state, but he doesn’t seem to know much about the average Trump supporter.
Trump was popular for several reasons: He promised to get tough on illegal immigration, he promised to restore law and order to the United States, and he promised to build the wall.
The wall, in particular, might be DonaldĀ Trump’s most popular policy. Trump certainly seemed to think so. While on the campaign trail, Trump confessed that he would circle back to “the wall” whenever his speeches lingered off-topic for too long.
But Senator Cornyn doesn’t seem to think the wall is that important. In fact, he thinks that the people of Texas — who voted overwhelmingly for Trump — don’t want a wall at all.
It’s an odd statement coming from a representative of the nation’s largest border state.
Watch him argue that Trump supporters don’t actually want a wall on the next page:
Mr. Cornyn. You need not run again because you have been a puppet In our offices. If you can’t get engaged and stay engaged with the American people then you need NOT APPLY for another term. We the people want 100% engagement and attention to your constituents and I do not see this happening from you.
Bs
How many average or real Americans does the Senator really know well enough to discuss their (our) Wall Desires! Both parties speak from all three sides of their mouth and NEVER deliver their promises – Pers Trump has broken threw the Executive Closed ceiling as HE HAS DEFIED traditional political bull c**p! We need far far better security for our nation – so far the Wall concept has proven the most viable specifically since it will be firm and not malleable as is Sen Cornyn and others!
Wrong corruptible Cornyn
YES WE DO!
Ahhh nope your wrong I do I do I do want the wall and I would like to have several high voltage lines under the wall with motion detectors
WHERE HAS THIS$#%&!@*HAT BEEN FOR THE LAST 10 + YEARS.. 63 MILLION + AMERICANS WANT THE DAMN WALL$#%&!@*
Good thing to know about him will not vote for him next time.
You hope.
Best argument for term limits. Congress is al suffering from dementia.
