Texas Senator John Cornyn might be a Republican from a deep-red state, but he doesn’t seem to know much about the average Trump supporter.
Trump was popular for several reasons: He promised to get tough on illegal immigration, he promised to restore law and order to the United States, and he promised to build the wall.
The wall, in particular, might be DonaldĀ Trump’s most popular policy. Trump certainly seemed to think so. While on the campaign trail, Trump confessed that he would circle back to “the wall” whenever his speeches lingered off-topic for too long.
But Senator Cornyn doesn’t seem to think the wall is that important. In fact, he thinks that the people of Texas — who voted overwhelmingly for Trump — don’t want a wall at all.
It’s an odd statement coming from a representative of the nation’s largest border state.
Watch him argue that Trump supporters don’t actually want a wall on the next page:
You’re right, they don’t. But unfortunately its come to that.
Maybe? If he thinks Republicans do not want the wall he may have been asleep for the passed 18 months! We better get tough on CA before even more of the far left go into the Obama/Brown trance.
You can’t fix stupid!
Cornyn is full of it
Yes we do!
Yes we do$#%&!@*hole we want a big wall
Yes we do !!!

We Texans can do better than this rino in conservative clothing !!!!!! Vote his sorry$#%&!@*out !!
Yeah, but the entire Texas border with Mexico is the Rio Grande river! Are we going to cede the entire river to Mexico? Or put a wall right down the middle of it? We need to get creative in Texas to keep illegal entry into our country out. Maybe have immigration guards all the way down will be the answer, but some creative engineer may find a great solution.
