Texas Senator John Cornyn might be a Republican from a deep-red state, but he doesn’t seem to know much about the average Trump supporter.
Trump was popular for several reasons: He promised to get tough on illegal immigration, he promised to restore law and order to the United States, and he promised to build the wall.
The wall, in particular, might be DonaldĀ Trump’s most popular policy. Trump certainly seemed to think so. While on the campaign trail, Trump confessed that he would circle back to “the wall” whenever his speeches lingered off-topic for too long.
But Senator Cornyn doesn’t seem to think the wall is that important. In fact, he thinks that the people of Texas — who voted overwhelmingly for Trump — don’t want a wall at all.
It’s an odd statement coming from a representative of the nation’s largest border state.
Watch him argue that Trump supporters don’t actually want a wall on the next page:
Yes I do Build That Wall run right up and around California
Check the sky where your at son I think it has been raining rocks and you got hit by to many..trump supports do want a wall…
This Trump voter wants a wall. A big beautiful wall.
Yes We want a wall…he lost my vote
My opinion is: Whoever is tracking multi-billions of drugs into this country is paying someone into squashing the building of a wall. Graft, corruption! Sound familiar?
I DO.
Oh really, still mad not in the cabinet….
You may not want it , but i do ! I won’t vote for ypu again Cornyn !!
Wrong.. We don’t want you in office.. Build that wall A.S.A.P.
What Trump voters has he been talking to?
