Texas Senator John Cornyn might be a Republican from a deep-red state, but he doesn’t seem to know much about the average Trump supporter.
Trump was popular for several reasons: He promised to get tough on illegal immigration, he promised to restore law and order to the United States, and he promised to build the wall.
The wall, in particular, might be DonaldĀ Trump’s most popular policy. Trump certainly seemed to think so. While on the campaign trail, Trump confessed that he would circle back to “the wall” whenever his speeches lingered off-topic for too long.
But Senator Cornyn doesn’t seem to think the wall is that important. In fact, he thinks that the people of Texas — who voted overwhelmingly for Trump — don’t want a wall at all.
It’s an odd statement coming from a representative of the nation’s largest border state.
Watch him argue that Trump supporters don’t actually want a wall on the next page:
This Joker has been on a sugar titt long enough; your out come Election Day. I wouldn’t hire him to pick up hay.
Yes we want a border wall
What does your people in your state say do you ever listen to them
Our friends in Texas want a wall
Uh no. You’re wrong John.
been there done that with Corney Cornyn! You will be primaried by the voters in my great state of Texas. Better find a cozy casa in Maine with your cohorts, the BUSHCLAN. We Texans did vote for a WALL NOT YOUR SIMPLETON “best judgment for securing the border”!
Give all the money back to those wealthy border landowners who support you and BUILD THE DAMN WALL -NOW!
