This controversy has reared its head in several states already. The common thread is two-fold. First, it is controlled by Common Core, Obama’s nationalized education standard. Secondly, students are routinely assigned schoolwork in which they are to explore Islamic tenants.
They also change up things like the Pledge of Allegiance to state “one nation under Allah”
The latest outrage of the one-size-fits all top-down government-controlled education reared its ugly head with Tennessee’s national Common Core. Middle school students are required to recite and write, “Allah is the only god,” as part of a history project. The American Thinker video on the next page explores this in depth:
You have got to be kidding. Really? Well no true Americans there if they let this happen
If my children went there I would a multi-million dollar law suite and demand the school district be fired with no separation benefits.
Would hate for good white American children to learn about the melting pot huh?
Wrong wrong wrong, This is AMERICA
The God of the abrahamic traditions are the same god. They just disagree with the messenger. Jews Christians, and Muslims believe in the same God.
Glenda I believe in the Christian God. I believe, if I am forced to swear there is only one God and that God is Allah, that I cannot do that under penalty of committing a mortal sin within my faith and thus putting my soul in grave danger. A teacher has no right to require this. I would never have done it regardless of the teacher’s punishment, for my faith would not allow it. Age would not matter. I would have refused if I were 5, or 10, or 15, or 20, or at the age of 68 as I am now. It would amount to a denial of my faith. I don’t tell anyone else what to believe and I have friends of many and varied faiths and some who are atheist. I will never deny my God in favor of another.
