A jury decided last year that the owner of a small organic farm, Shellie Smith, still owes $4000 after a raid by SWAT that destroyed her farm.
Garden of Eden, a small organic in Arlington, Texas, was the target of a SWAT raid in 10-hour long search with Smith being held at gunpoint at one point.
Arlington police dept. stated that there were complaints of marijuana being grown on the premises, but none was found on the property. Instead, law enforcement confiscated 17 blackberry bushes, 15 okra plants, 14 tomatillo plants, native grasses and sunflowers.

Stupid!
The epitome of evil.
My thoughts as well. If the neighbors were so concerned, why not organize a helpful cleanup to help the property owner. Maybe the person was sick or getting too old to take care of the place.
So mobs of illegals pour across our border & the feds defend them, but will harass a woman growing berries!
No they wouldn’t. Both parties are the same.
Its hard to believe thus happened in Texas . They are usually not as wacko as some of the eastern states or California
You can’t be that stupid!
SWAT team is too heavy-handed for such actions as merely serving a warrant. It’s a waste of resources unless another agenda exists.
Do you really need s swat team to go search and interview the land owner?
Farmers!
