A jury decided last year that the owner of a small organic farm, Shellie Smith, still owes $4000 after a raid by SWAT that destroyed her farm.
Garden of Eden, a small organic in Arlington, Texas, was the target of a SWAT raid in 10-hour long search with Smith being held at gunpoint at one point.
Arlington police dept. stated that there were complaints of marijuana being grown on the premises, but none was found on the property. Instead, law enforcement confiscated 17 blackberry bushes, 15 okra plants, 14 tomatillo plants, native grasses and sunflowers.

When are they going to raid Al Sharpton
Fascist. American SS Military Police , a r e Domestic Tyrants, and must be Disarmed, by the PEOPLE.
Hmmm….I’ve been hearing all my life from Texans how much better off they are then Californians or New Yorkers. Appears that they’re just as puny as the rest of us.
Para-militarized police forces are a good thing because??……
Wtf
My question is how many times did the neighbors approach the land owner and voice their concerns? Did law enforcement contact the land owner previously either in person or by ceritified mail? Whats the whole story here? Had the land owner been warned numerous times about the condition of the property? SWAT Team? Really? Gun point? Really? How many weapons did the land owner have in their possession? This smacks of hatred at best, overreach at worst. Who’s next? The neigbors should be fearing for their respective lives. Carefull how you cut your grass, curb your garbage cans, plant a tree, etc..
Conservative Dennis. Liberals would let you do what you want!
impending … wrong adverb … present …. more like it …
Apparently this article does not reflect the whole story…
