A jury decided last year that the owner of a small organic farm, Shellie Smith, still owes $4000 after a raid by SWAT that destroyed her farm.
Garden of Eden, a small organic in Arlington, Texas, was the target of a SWAT raid in 10-hour long search with Smith being held at gunpoint at one point.
Arlington police dept. stated that there were complaints of marijuana being grown on the premises, but none was found on the property. Instead, law enforcement confiscated 17 blackberry bushes, 15 okra plants, 14 tomatillo plants, native grasses and sunflowers.

If this is true, we are in trouble
I got to go along with Clarence Goble and Dave Clark… this is a typical Moonbeam piece about the poor down trodden ‘farmer’ minding their own business when the Jack boots storm in and crush the little people!
We get the same thing sometimes on the Far Right… like Ruby Ridge tax protesters, which produced the Oaklahoma Bomber or the Religious nut bags, like Waco or Jonesville that killed entire families, so…
…confiscating a few BlackBerry bushes and holding Owners at “gun point” for a half hour in a ten hour raid, don’t rank high on the terror meter!
Personally, I’d be more concerned about the overtime these PBA Unionists and their accomplice, the Administrator, who had their hand in my pocket!
There is a large circle of radical Liberals looking for a scape goat, six years after Bush (43) and as the last two years flit by… with an embarrassing rejection in 2014… it will probably get much worse!
Our government at work!
Now we feel REALLY safe.
Some one should teach them the difference between marihuana plant and a blueberry plant.
Howcome
Sounds like a law suit if the search began without a warrant.
