When the Supreme Court lost its most conservative member earlier this year, many thought that the remaining term could be a disaster for personal liberty cases. It turns out they were right. In the most recent decision, however, it’s not the court’s liberal wing who’s to blame. This time, the court’s traditionally conservative members dealt a confusing blow to the constitution’s Fourth Amendment.
Justices Thomas, Alito, Breyer, Kennedy, and Roberts joined forces in a decision that would grant the government additional search and seizure authority without probable cause. The decision likely intends to empower the police to stop and punish crime, but without prior knowledge of a crime being committed, all it does is allow a private citizen to be subject to imprisonment at the whim of U.S. authorities.

Jeremy Swanson You obviously are unaware of what’s going on in our country, sir! Anyone can actually be a terrorist – searching everywhere that can be used to hide guns/ammo/war materials is necessary, incluiding mosques!!
To me, it’s about erosion. If they take a little here, then a little there, soon we wouldn’t have any.
F**k u
All my life I thought even the Supreme Court had to go by the constitution. I guess obomer fixed that.
Gary Piper We all need to look at the “bigger” picture during these dangerous times. We have been inflitrated by a devilish cult and Islam has sworn to takeover our country. We must do whatever is necessary to thwart that effort. Allowing the search of your vehicle is not much to give up, especially if you are not a terrorist who is transporting guns and ammo to kill your fellow Americans! Wake up!
Brooks Outland then why don’t we start with the mosques rather then Americans rights.
I can understand to a point what you are saying. However if the constitution is not used in this , why would they have to use it on anything.
The only ones how know that is the one how get pulled over they just go through the car just to see if they cant get you for something els than what they pulled you over for
This is an affront to one of our basic freedoms born of the revolution. When you say the Times require the suspension of this right, you open the door for the government….probably feds….to come into your home whenever they feel like it. This is third world$#%&!@* This right must be reinstated when we get an American president..
Orville Shanks I’ve been preaching “first, search all mosques” for many months and was banned by FB for continuing to do so – but, the head muslim sits in the Oval Office and his subordinates haven’t enough guts to make a move without his blessing – and he ain’t gonna let us search his felldow muslim mosques – we need to get them searched, whatever it costs!
