Ever had to deal with a power blackout during the hot summer months? Then you know just how important keeping cool can be.
Over on The Good Survivalist we found a great tip to save you money and keep you cool:
Seems every year people die due to heat. Keeping your home cool in the summer can be very expensive if you use your air conditioner. This air conditioner is very simple to make, and can be made in a few minutes if you are handy.Even if you are not handy you’ll be able to make one of these DIY air conditioners. One of the nice things about this air conditioner is that it will give you up to 6 hours of coolness. This thing works so well you may need to put on a sweatshirt! To make one of these babies you need a few simple tools, a couple of 5 gallon buckets, along with a few other items. Everything is shown in the video.
You can make a complete solar system for a little $ more that powers an ice maker.
People are stupid
What a waste, could not view the link, went to auto repair?
The purpose of air conditioning is to remove humidity. This will only make it unbearably humid. Plus, the size solar panels that would be required to run something of notable capacity would be very expensive.
Marika Loudenback this is needed..
If this is a back-up for when the power goes out it cannot work because it depends on an electric fan.
Omg people are so illiterate or just cant read he states he is using a small solar panal that can be bought to power the fan he obviously has jugs pre frozen no need to bag on this guy i actually just did it anf was using it in my garage while i worked on my car no humidity at all and kept it comfortable where i didnt break a sweat you have to know what your doing to make this lmao
i tried a variation of this, which i think is much better and it did not work worth a $#%&!@* !!!
