Kendra Turner, 17, of Dyersburg, Tennessee was suspended because she said ‘bless you’ to another student who sneezed.
It seems that the teacher has a list of words you can’t say in class, and ‘bless you’ is on the list. The teacher told the Turner “Now we will not have godly speaking in my class.”

What about her beliefs? So tired of schools favoring the atheists & not the believers.
That’s called “FREEDOM OF SPEECH” covered under the 1st Amendment of the list called the “BILL OF RIGHTS”. That is NOT the teachers classroom and, other than profanity, should not be allowed to select what the students say.
The teacher should be fired.

She knew the rules and it was posted. Teacher only thought of the other students who could be offended by it. As she was be sensative to the issue at hand.
