Kendra Turner, 17, of Dyersburg, Tennessee was suspended because she said ‘bless you’ to another student who sneezed.
It seems that the teacher has a list of words you can’t say in class, and ‘bless you’ is on the list. The teacher told the Turner “Now we will not have godly speaking in my class.”

As an Atheist I find this level of stupidity offensive. Suspended really? For that? I’m 100% against religion but I’m also 100% for free speech, you don’t like what someone’s saying don’t listen. To interfere with a kids education over a friendly comment is lunacy.
