Kendra Turner, 17, of Dyersburg, Tennessee was suspended because she said ‘bless you’ to another student who sneezed.
It seems that the teacher has a list of words you can’t say in class, and ‘bless you’ is on the list. The teacher told the Turner “Now we will not have godly speaking in my class.”

I don’t believe I agree with the teacher. I say “god Bless You” anytime someone sneezes, whether I know them or not!

Again I ask WHO is the teacher, out that person and flood them with calls and letters.
And yet people are allowing this kind of thing to happen ! This is what the PTA is for………..she should not have other rules than any one else. Go to a meeting and vote to put a stop to the nonsense !!

I’m not religious & I think this is c**p. I believe in a compromise & “trying” not to take things too seriously. We seem to be in a time that has us turning more & more into a mindset of “persecute the believers”, no matter their faith, as long as “it is not my own”. This teacher is belittling someone who was being courteous; in tune with her ideals, yes, but not necessarily an expression thereof. It is an attack on individualism & she should not be able to get away with it. If a girl came in wearing a burka, would she also be made an example of?
