Kendra Turner, 17, of Dyersburg, Tennessee was suspended because she said ‘bless you’ to another student who sneezed.
It seems that the teacher has a list of words you can’t say in class, and ‘bless you’ is on the list. The teacher told the Turner “Now we will not have godly speaking in my class.”

Sad,glad I went to school when I did. No such thing as politically correct. Kids also had a lot more respect also. People in general just got to take a step back and relax. Media included..

But there was nothing said about God, it sounds like this person is really afraid of God. Now what is the matter with saying Bless you? I guess this teacher does not know you are supposed to say this when someone sneezes!! Shame.

Get rid of that teacher
First off, this is a normal accepted customary thing to say when someone sneezes. I don’t personally, it depends on what you were taught as good manners as a child. This teacher is misguided and needs retraining.
