Democratic congressional candidate for California’s 50th district, James Kimber, wore a U.S. Navy SEAL trident for over a year without ever completing the elite force training. He did so until he was called out by a ship’s captain.
Kimber, served 20 years in the Navy, entered SEAL training in 1990 but had to quit after injuring his back during an obstacle course exercise.

More fraud and lying: typical Democratic behavior!
It is considered a federal offence to wear service medals or decorations which you are not entitled to wear. The charge is impersonating a war veteran and can result in imprisonment and large fines. Badges are also included as military decorations and awards on the grounds that badges are awarded to signify that the person receiving the badge has achieved a certain set of set criteria in the course of qualifying for a medal or decoration.
For example,
An infantryman will earn the Infantry Combat Badge (ICB) for completing a full combat tour.
A non infantry soldier will be awarded the Army Combat Badge (ACB) for the same service as is required for the ICB.
All soldiers returning from active service regardless of corps receive the Returned from Active Service Badge (RASB).
The reason that wearing non issued decorations, medals and badges is illegal is that people cash in on the respect reserved for the veteran community and use false war service to gain employment, sympathy from society or just the chance to tell war stories.
I think that individuals who decide that it’s ‘cool’ to wear any badge of any honor should be made to serve until they earn that honor for the badge that they so dishonestly claimed. It would put a stop to it real quick maybe make some change…
