The president of the University of Texas in Austin, Greg Fenves caved in to outcries that two statues represent the South’s racist past. He announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be moved from the campus’s Main Mall to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
The statue of Woodrow Wilson was also moved to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”

Put them back
Taking apart history and it don’t matter what turmoil it creates just so a chosen few are happy no one else matters when the two year olds stomp their feet!!!
oh my…..idiotic and stupid is no way to go through life, Corey…Woodrow Wilson was instrumental in creating the first United Nations and keeping the USA out of world War 1, until we literally had to join in the war to protect our foreign interests…Jefferson Davis although NOT a good president, was president in part of our country that is part of our history as a great nation…too bad you didnt learn much in school…those who do not remember history are DOOMED to repeat it…
The people who give into these racist or cowards.
This is a Jung country, why in the Hell would anyone allow to destroy there History????
It can be removed like the rest of US history that is being removed by the Democrats.
Id also like that lame African museum Obama is having built at the end of the white house lawn. Its unsightly and beyond racist. Its nothing more than an African museum…… are we getting ridiculous yet????
These are the kind of people leading the major universities in America and they did come through the ranks as professors for the most part; so ask yourself are we letting the right people lead are kids?
This is American history! You cannot change it to please everyone! So discouraging!!!
Very sad
