The president of the University of Texas in Austin, Greg Fenves caved in to outcries that two statues represent the South’s racist past. He announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be moved from the campus’s Main Mall to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
The statue of Woodrow Wilson was also moved to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”

That’s bull $&@!
George washington owned slaves should we get rid of the $1 bill too? It’s history. Those monuments can also b a reminder to never let slavery happen again. Why always the negative
What has Woodrow Wilson have to do with the civil war he wasn’t even alive at that time? The Texas government should put a stop to this carp!
Absolutely embarr$#%&!@*ed and disgusted this happened at any university, but certainly in Texas, even though Austin most certainly used to be in California!!
Until our entire landscape is barren and there is no trace of our heritage left. But even then there will still be someone complaining (whining). It’s beyond ridiculous and more than dangerous to keep giving in to an ignorant minority of cry babies.
They are taking our history but by bit, AND NO ONE IS COMPLAINING????!!!!
Yeah Bill Oppression is right. The North stole everything the South had and opressed everyone.
Horse$#%&!@*.
Very sad
The stupidity continues. ….
