The president of the University of Texas in Austin, Greg Fenves caved in to outcries that two statues represent the South’s racist past. He announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be moved from the campus’s Main Mall to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
The statue of Woodrow Wilson was also moved to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”

Woodrow was a Democrat.
Deanne Tolbert no one should remove any part of history is the point….no one really wants to remove black history or MLK statues…..but just think what would happen if we had a white group going around the country telling everyone else that art and history must be removed or destroyed because it offends them? Or even worse, being so uncivilized that they just vandalize and deface the objects. MLK did great things but I believe he would hang his head in shame at how out of hand things are now. If I find anything offense it is Malcolm X Ave and the race haters and baiters we have as leaders. I agree God help us.
Shame
And what part of Malcolm X Ave deserves glorification? Whites are devils – demise of the white race – promoted violence. Who picks and chooses what stays and what goes? Certainly not the majority.
have you took notice that is is black thugs who are protesting, rioting and stealing and destroying businesses, not other colored who are trying themselves to make sense of all this. no whites. so where is the racism they say is there.
It’s the people who caused their removal that are racist.
This is ridiculous! Can you erase a war too?!. So very sad. I’m sick of these people!!
Sad but now I understand better why our ancestors in the South chose seceding from the Union.
the left is rewriting history
I hate libtards. They are hypocrite leeches.
