The Obama administration and the Democrat party insist that their efforts to impose gun control on the nation are only designed to protect the public and to take guns out of the hands of criminals and potential terrorists. The reality is much darker.
The effort is really incremental and intends to prohibit gun ownership to anyone not in a government position of power such as a police officer or other government agency. One way to do that is to segment groups one at a time so that they can be disarmed with little fanfare. The “no-fly” list is a good example, in that it is almost impossible to find out why an individual is on the list, and equally impossible to be removed from the list. But if you are on the list, no firearms for you!
There are various groups that are now targeted, and Obama’s recent mandate sought to recruit family members and friends to “rat out” individuals they want to have disarmed. That includes ex-spouses with an axe to grind, and others who simply want to harass an individual. The concept is anti-American in that it takes away a right to own a weapon without due process or even a charge of wrong-doing. One of the more insidious schemes is to prevent veterans from owning guns, and it has nothing to do with a threat to society or a criminal history.
See Obama scheme to disarm veterans, page 2:
From what I heard thru the grapevine is true, then the ATF is refusing gun sales to any Veterans from foreign wars if they use medication as a veteran and this medication is on file and goes against their applications for certain drugs because of drug side effects making them not in control of their faculties and therefore a risk to own guns. You know the old suicide story biting people in the$#%&!@*when you apply for purchase of firearms………Your personal medical condition is now property of the US Government if you are a Veteran because its on their database now………
A picture of things to come.
sounds more like take the guns from those that know how to use them. Those that would otherwise protect this nation from its government.
Sounds like a violation of their Constitutional Rights.
This is wrong.
What gives the V.A. the RIGHT to do this, where in the law is it so stated??????????????????
I don’t see how we can hold out until 1/2017.
I have a friend who is a veteran who went to the VA to see about getting help paying for hearing aids. He was relating to me all the questions they asked him, ie. Do you ever feel depressed? Do you have problems getting along with family members? On and on, personal, nosey questions having not a thing to do with getting hearing aids. I told him I hoped he didn’t answer them. He did. Older folks are not used to having to be alert to alterior motives but we all better get used to it. I don’t answer any of their nosey questions at the doctor’s office or anywhere else.
The VA does not have that authority come to think about it neither does the federal or state government.
They would come for mine if I ever registered any of them! I believe my 2nd Amendment rights should never be an application to the government,…….that defeats it’s true purpose!
