Someone needs to tell the House Speaker that the basic economic principle of ‘supply and demand’ definitely applies to the workforce in America. Paul Ryan’s 2015 2,009-page omnibus spending bill had 700 pages slipped in regarding H-2B visa expansion for foreign workers. He believes that the supply of workers in the United States is not enough to make up for the demand by employers.
This is a staggering suggestion, that the unemployed workers in the United States, the marginally attached and or discouraged, would not take a seasonal job if it became available.
The supply of able bodied workers should be the first to meet the demand of these businesses, yet Ryan believes low-waged foreign earners are the ones who should take them. He has no evidence to support his claim “that corporations are facing a shortage of labor, which rendered the provision necessary.”

We have plenty of Americans who are looking for work, there are just some states that are making the qualification for the job to be extreme. You continue to hire giving them the B1 or something visa and pay them more than American employees, then the people you hire from overseas either go back to their own country with all the money made here or stay in America and have more money than American citizens. Jobs should be offered to American citizens first, to veterans first who’s got intensive training in the military, the companies can either send them for training or just refresher and some can be on the job training. Do not say it can not be done, we did it during WW2, anyone who wants to work got a job and workers accomplished what needed to be done resulting Americans to win that War making America the most powerful and industrious nation in the world. Those who would say it’s different now, lacks self confidence. Let Americans build America, limit a few B1 from India, China and other countries. Do not populate America with foreigners and take the job from Americans.
