I think what Trump meant was he liked and respected Putin’s toughness and leadership ability. Putin’s no pushover and what he says goes in Russia. America needs leadership and absolute rights and wrongs upheld and dealt with. Putin has no respect for Obama. Everybody sees Obama for what he really is whether they care or not.
