The brokered convention is all the buzz these day in GOP circles, as anti-Trumpers look for ways to keep him from getting the nomination. Without having the 1,237 delegates needed to win the GOP nomination before the convention, Trump could face a loss at the hands of the political party.
North Dakota GOP delegate Curly Haugland told CNBC’s Squawk Box that the media has given the public the perception that the voters choose the nomination. “That’s the conflict here”, he says. He explained that it is not the voters, but the political parties that choose their presidential nominees. As one of 112 Republican delegates, Haugland stated he is “not required to cast their support” for any particular candidate as their territories and states do not hold caucuses or primaries.
Unbound delegates very well could play a major “swing role” at a brokered convention.

Establishment trying to steal election from the Movement / Trump… Shut them down……Vote Trump, Close the Deal !!!!!!!!
Oh that better not happen.and if it does we want Hillary thrown out because she’s not legal. She needs to be put in Jail. Trump2016 .
So all the voting is just a farce?
well at least we are hearing about it first hand thanks to Trump blowing the whistle on all their shenanigans-usually they just did the fast shuffle and we just got the great big shaft when some jackass won that nobody even liked-then we would say HUH?? bunch of crooks-he will expose a lot more of their screw jobs when he takes over-taking names and kicking BUTTS Donald Trump For President
My question exactly. Our votes used to count.
Nope. . .we the people will this time. . .
And then us Trump supporters will vote for Hillary! I mean why not? The established GOP just caved into Obama anyway, so what difference will it make? Then, when Hillary comes for our guns, a bloodbath!
Bull
I think he’s wrong, I think the vote of the people should be the deciding factor not how many delegates you can have. Get rid of the electoral college. That’s where the corruption comes in. They take a pay off and throw the election where ever they want. Both party’s are bad, Democrat delegates go to. Whoever Debbie w. Shultz wants them to get rid of the current electoral college and have an actual voting for a president
Bush wants to be president so bad he will do anything. The people do not want the. Bushes or the Clinton’s in office again. The GOP will be signing their death warrant if they do this not to mention the American people’s.
