Reading about fraud is always upsetting, but reading about charity fraud is downright infuriating.
When the already-impoverished nation of Haiti was struck by a devastating earthquake in 2010, people around the world opened their checkbooks to donate money to the reconstruction of the country. Among the recipients of these generous donations was the Red Cross, who pledged to help the people of Haiti get back on their feet with the millions of dollars given to them.
Yet five years after launching LAMIKA, a project named after a Creole acronym for “A Better Life In My Neighborhood” and meant to build hundreds of homes in Port-Au-Prince, only six homes have been built across the entire country, forcing citizens to continue dwelling in shacks without water, electricity or basic sanitation and regular flooding. In short, the Red Cross has delivered far less than it promised not just to it’s donors, but to the people it claimed it would help as well.

Do nothing for red Cross, they didn’t even go into places where they said they did. For at least the last 8 years. I worked on their building on exposition blvd in Sacramento and the people working their are not allowing people without a BA degree to help of work for red Cross. They said those without a degree don’t understand the world’s problems and or how to cure the problems.
Bunch of dam idiots and$#%&!@*sucking gay people with no real place to go in life
Red Cross is a damn scam
That’s why I don’t give a dime to charities.
I’ve read about this & understand why & how it happened – did anyone else?
Seeing this and reading about this is sickening, especially when the president of the Red Cross makes a six figure salary.
Salvation army is where they actually take very little and most goes to whatever cause they ate supporting.
This is why I don’t give to this organization , they promise the world but give back very little. YOU GIVE THEM BLOOD , THEY SELL IT TO THE HOSPITALS. The Salvation army is the harity to give to the spend money where it is needed not where they want to.
have never donated to red cross ever since they spent tne money for survivors of 9-11 on upgrading their comouter systems instead—assholes……….
That’s why I donate to the Salvation Army and not Red Cross.
Just like the Clintons
