Rand Paul is completely correct, of course, that there is no need for bayonets in local law enforcement. Bayonets are for hand-to-hand combat in battle and the only purpose is to kill.

Nobody needs bayonets. They want them for I don’t know what reason.

If they run out of bullets they can still defend themselves. You never know when they may be out numbered.
Cheaper to kill someone with a knife then a bullet. Guess when Obama calls for Marshall Law Bayonets will be used.
