Rand Paul is completely correct, of course, that there is no need for bayonets in local law enforcement. Bayonets are for hand-to-hand combat in battle and the only purpose is to kill.

They don’t need bayonet’s for any reason. They have plenty to do the job with,they just need to do it.I don’t get to carry what they do to protect themselves daily.I’ve had defend myself against numbers with just my hands and feet.Police don’t need bayonet’s.

Not to sound like a complete $#%&!@*, but, after the recent bull$#%&!@* in Baltimore and the ISIS insurgents just right across the border…I can kinda see why. I’m totally voting for Paul, but at the same time, I’m starting to lean towards the police, where we are in a time, where they HAVE to be trained in this. It’s no longer an option. People are $#%&!@*ing nuts here. Gone are the white picket fences of yesteryear. Our Czar’s Dictatorship and Political Correctness is in full swing. My only hope is that the law enforcement is still on “our” side, not that of a lying, narcissistic psychopath.
