Rand Paul is completely correct, of course, that there is no need for bayonets in local law enforcement. Bayonets are for hand-to-hand combat in battle and the only purpose is to kill.

Don’t give them to the Westerly cops they will use them just because they have them on anyone or anybody except people that break the law.
If there training them for war (clearly) then they need to make it clear who they’re preparing for and stop leaving the populace in the dark. Otherwise su$#%&!@*ions will rise. As well as the tension.
