“I can’t imagine any use for bayonets in an urban setting,” stated Sen. Rand Paul to Senate Homeland Security Committee at a hearing last year.
“I can’t answer what a local police force would use a bayonet for,” Alan Estevez said.
Paul snapped back “None”
Rand Paul is completely correct, of course, that there is no need for bayonets in local law enforcement. Bayonets are for hand-to-hand combat in battle and the only purpose is to kill.

I used mine as a tool. Prying, cutting sheet metal and cutting foliage. They are cheap and you don’t feel bad destroying it as you would a $100+ Spyderco.
Actually, bayonets are a very effective form of riot control, first rank with riot shields, second rank with bayonets over the top of the shields, march in step, not many rioters will stand there and let themselves be impaled.
To kill us
So when the 1 gazillion bullets are gone they can stab who is left
Yeah…why are they doing that? It’s because Obama is deliberately steering the nation towards social and economic collapse while he mashes the accelerator pedal to the floor board. This is the government’s preparation for the civil unrest that will result from it.

I’m a Republican and proud. I’m a former police officer and very honored that I served. Police do not need bayonets. No time in my career was one needed, justified or used. Pocket knife yes, to cut seat belts, ropes, etc. bayonets are designed for one purpose, and only one purpose. That is on the battlefield, not against a citizens I swore to protect.
