Vladimir Putin is pretty infamous for his no-nonsense approach to politics. He’s also known for not giving a damn for anyone’s sensitivities. Ever since Muslim-controlled Turkey shot down a Russian jet last month, Putin has been upping his rhetoric against the religion. After announcing his thoughts on imposing some stricter sanctions on the country, he said something that is likely to draw some ire from more sensitive Muslims.
Putin said during a press conference that he was not interested in “saber-rattling” with Turkey. He promised stronger sanctions on the country. After Putin’s statements the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak announced that Russia would be ending the talks on the Ankara Turkish gas steam pipeline, a move designed, he said, “to emphasize the strength of Kremlin anger.”
Between Putin’s relatively gentle chiding and Mr. Novak’s more aggressive announcement to halt energy discussions with Turkey, it’s clear that Putin wishes he could do more. And perhaps he would, if the NATo countries could be convinced to coordinated their attacks with Russian military.

Some of these comments are insane. What we as a country need to do is some deep soul searching. We spent almost 25 yrs fighting on a small strip of land in southeast asia trying to protect defenseless people from the evils of communism. We lost. Look at them today. For the last 70 yrs we have pushed our ideals and morality on people’s around the world. Look at the stability it has brought us. We spend billions on our military overseas to protect our allies, who today are more then capable of doing it themselves. Our leaders talk tough and backpedal when it gets real. We can’t feed our own or keep roofs over their heads. Instead of preparing for new years celebrations our municipal leaders are spending big money to protect those who wish to celebrate. This is not a Dem. or Rep. problem this an American problem. Maybe it’s time to do some house cleaning, fix the problems at home. We are so worried about being number one that our own are suffering. We may be the greatest country in the world but we are falling apart from the inside out. Don’t like Putin leave him alone, He respects America’s capabilities, just as long as he knows we will use them if necessary.
