It is sad that Obama, Clinton and Kerry have so messed up the Middle East with their “Arab Spring” that Vladimir Putin becomes the hero who brings order out of the chaos.
Putin, allies with Assad. His relations with Iran are improving. (Hey, you don’t see masses of people in the streets of Tehran shouting “Death to Putin! Death to Russia!”) Russia sees Syria as a strategic location. They have moved military to the Syrian border. Putin believes Obama’s fingers in the Middle East have left a vacuum that ISIS is filling. Putin is closely aligned with how many American conservatives view Obama’s bungling of it. More bungling on the next page.
From Putin’s UN speech:
Instead of the triumph of democracy and progress, we got violence, poverty and social disaster — and nobody cares a bit about human rights, including the right to life. I cannot help asking those who have forced that situation: Do you realize what you have done?”
A report at Jihad Watch answers:
No, they don’t realize what they have done, and they’re poised to do more of it. And those of us who warned at the time that the “Arab Spring” would not lead to “the triumph of democracy and progress,” but to “violence, poverty and social disaster,” were dismissed and derided as racist, bigoted “Islamophobes.” And no matter how often the establishment analysts get things wrong, and disastrously, and fatally so, they never get called to account, and keep applying the same failed solutions.

Bravo! Well said.
Two choices: Either the Obama regime, who encouraged what they named the “Arab Spring” knew exactly the fallout, and wanted to destabilize the Middle East. Or the Obama regime is delusional and really thought having “JV Team”, ISIS, fill the vacuum. That’s a good thing.
Whatever you think of Putin, he is right about Obama. No easy answers, but with pro-Arab apologists like Samantha Powers as Ambassador to the UN, a real confidante, who has the ear of the President, and was one of the architects of the Arab Spring, you can bet what happens next will be more of the same.
Perhaps after Putin is through eliminating ISIS over there, we can invite him here to take on the tens of thousands of Syrian Islamists that Obama is inviting in.
No, Steve, but I suspect you’re somewhat uninformed; receptive to right wing fiction; and might want to be a bit more careful about using words like “fool” –which can come back to bite you in the backside.
The ACA isn’t a disaster, tho it could use improvement. Right now, we’re undergoing a spike in premiums because of an UNDERLYING expansion in coverage and making it available to millions previously locked out who also had pent up medical needs that had to be addressed. How do we know that? Because the stats AND a provision in the ACA that ALREADY caps premium revenue at 120% of medical costs actually incurred make that fact pretty obvious. [Put another way, you want to try explaining how a law that CAPS premiums in that fashion somehow made them go UP in an inappropriate fashion?]
After seven years, there’s STILL no credible and viable alternative offered by the GOP, and the reason should be obvious: the only way to drive premiums down–other than enforcing provisions that will require additional, relatively healthy folks to enter the the insurance pool– is to cut coverage, exclude unhealthy folks from the pool, or both. Surely you don’t think that eliminating subsidies, caps on premiums and current coverage requirements are going to somehow produce the same breadth of coverage presently required AND lower premiums, do you? So, which do you like best? Throwing others back under the bus as before, or significantly cutting the coverages that folks depend on when they become seriously ill? Should we lock out hemophiliacs or those with heart disease? You want to resurrect lifetime limits or renew penalizing women for their gender?

You’re complaining about the economy? You mean, as opposed to the one that was handed to the current president that was losing 750K jobs per MONTH and with both a tanking Dow headed to 1/3 of where it is today and an American car industry in which two of the Big Three were about to go under? Maybe, then, you can provide clarity to a few other things.
First, since the unemployment today is LESS than that at the same point in the REAGAN presidency [and, indeed, has been for some time; simply compare the stats accumulated at the corresponding times by the same BLS], tell me exactly when it was in 1988 that you started squalling instead of proclaiming the “Reagan Miracle”? lol Likewise, since we also had “record debt” at the end of the last two REPUBLICAN presidencies, when did you decide that the time to REALLY complain was following the tenure of the guy who inherited two wars, an irresponsible war time tax cut for the upper crust, an unfunded prescription plan for seniors and the biggest worldwide economic crisis since the Great Depression?
The last time I looked, the GOP refused to lift a finger to save the car industry and BLOCKED the American Jobs Act while proposing no omnibus jobs or infrastructure bill of it’s own. It also insisted that rather than expand public employment like Reagan and W did to combat lesser economic woes, THIS President would be required to find a way to shorten the unemployment line while government employment was instead being constricted. So, apart from the fact that your criticism already seems ill-directed, maybe you can answer that one nagging, itsy-bitsy question that so far has sent members of the GOP running for the exits whenever they’re asked. It’s this: tell me just ONE responsible, specific legislative measure that YOU think this president should have pursued AND which A) you contend would have triggered a SIGNIFICANT improvement in this countries NATIONAL unemployment rate and B) you also claim that the GOP caucus in both houses of Congress would have ACTUALLY allowed to become law.
Good luck with that –from one buddy to another, I mean.
I believe our Pres Obama is fully aware of what he has done in the 8 years he has been president….Not only is he petty but he also has been trying to destroy the United States & Israel because he is a Muslim, not a Christian because Christians do not do what he & his admin have done to to cause the chaos that he is responsible for, not only overseas but in the United States & Israel. His admin has been the most corrupt in the history of the United States & none in his admin have been held accountable for their criminal acts. Thank God President Trump will bring law & order back & hold people responsible for their criminal activity.
Spot on.
Absolutely NO!
