If you live in Massachusetts, don’t labor under the misconception that you own your vehicle, or a boat or plane. Under a bill sponsored by a Democrat legislator, the Commonwealth would forbid you from adding a hidden compartment to secure your private property, such as a handgun, money or other valuables.
Designed as an alleged anti-drug law, the bill would punish those who add a hidden compartment after the vehicle is purchased with a two-year mandatory prison sentence, and five years for subsequent offenses.
Even worse, the law would empower police to seize the vehicle under civil forfeiture law. Lawmakers in support of the House bill claim it’s necessary to prosecute the war on drugs. State police officials have endorsed the bill as needed to discourage drug trafficking.

Define hidden??
Apparently people aren’t leaving Massachusetts fast enough. I have some other ideas for the legislature if they’re looking to completely depopulate their God-forsaken state. Guess the taxes and restrictions on personal liberties weren’t enough, but I have to admit, I was pretty impressed with the Police State show-of-force that followed the Marathon Bomber’s escape. I don’t think the Stasi could have done a better job. Good show!
Uh, NO. If Massivetwoshits passes this, you watch and see how fast other laws are passed to enable the state more and cripple the citizenry less. How about if that secret compartment CONTAINS drugs or other illegal item(s) you are prosecuted ? Dangerous dangerous dangerous.

What a stupid comment, there are only a handful of republican in the Massachusetts state legislature. Mass is ruled by corrupt democrats. Do a little research on past speakers.
Could be why I’ll never go to the east coast – or the west cost for that matter.
