If you live in Massachusetts, don’t labor under the misconception that you own your vehicle, or a boat or plane. Under a bill sponsored by a Democrat legislator, the Commonwealth would forbid you from adding a hidden compartment to secure your private property, such as a handgun, money or other valuables.
Designed as an alleged anti-drug law, the bill would punish those who add a hidden compartment after the vehicle is purchased with a two-year mandatory prison sentence, and five years for subsequent offenses.
Even worse, the law would empower police to seize the vehicle under civil forfeiture law. Lawmakers in support of the House bill claim it’s necessary to prosecute the war on drugs. State police officials have endorsed the bill as needed to discourage drug trafficking.
Learn how the bill lessens the burden of proof on the Commonwealth and effectively guts the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that protects citizens from unlawful searches and seizures. The disturbing details can be found on the next page.NEXT PAGE »

There’s a country somewhere call America where people are free
Democrap’s, want to take your money with more taxes, and take away your rights with hate speech laws, and now if your auto is manufactured with what is considered a hidden compartment your automobile…
It’s a b******t law that sets anyone up for a search. Same as seatbelt laws and tinted windows laws. The state has no real interest in your safety and could not care less if you wear a seatbelt. The law simply grants law enforcement the right to stop you at will with no real reason, and if something is found say drugs for example later during a court date when the defence attorney argues that police had no reason to ever pull the defendant over in the first place the officer can simply claim it looked as if the defendant or passenger wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. This proposed law takes it to the next level now the officers can search your vehicle with no apparent reason claiming that some inconspicuous place in the vehicle looked as if it were a concealed compartment. It will also stand up in court since all vehicles by design have hidden compartments.
Lance Soterion – Today many vehicles do not come with any locking compartments. So when you travel thru a state with your firearm NOT in a locked compartment, you can go to prison. So they make this law to make it easier to prosecute anyone owning a firearm! You can buy aftermarket locking compartments to go under the seat on some vehicles so you CAN lock up your firearm! So these corrupt ba$tards have you anyway you try to comply! They all need to be tarred and feathered and run out of the country!!!!
If you think about it a minute, ALL laws are passed to make a criminal out of someone!!
It’s as if the entire constitution has been applied in reverse in aspect to government and citizens.
What was illegal for the government to infringe upon they now enjoy without oversight. What was sacred rights of citizens are now elitist privileges we must purchase in court at peril of our freedom.
Welcome to the peoples communist of State of Massachusetts.
Who is to decide if it is a ‘secret stash’ compartment or just a compartment. ANYONE who does custom interior work may make a door or pocket that is obscured from view so it doesn’t stand out. Doesn’t mean it is intended to hide illegal contraband. With these idiots it doesn’t matter!!
