If you live in Massachusetts, don’t labor under the misconception that you own your vehicle, or a boat or plane. Under a bill sponsored by a Democrat legislator, the Commonwealth would forbid you from adding a hidden compartment to secure your private property, such as a handgun, money or other valuables.
Designed as an alleged anti-drug law, the bill would punish those who add a hidden compartment after the vehicle is purchased with a two-year mandatory prison sentence, and five years for subsequent offenses.
Even worse, the law would empower police to seize the vehicle under civil forfeiture law. Lawmakers in support of the House bill claim it’s necessary to prosecute the war on drugs. State police officials have endorsed the bill as needed to discourage drug trafficking.
Learn how the bill lessens the burden of proof on the Commonwealth and effectively guts the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that protects citizens from unlawful searches and seizures. The disturbing details can be found on the next page.NEXT PAGE »

Sheepl you better start waking the$#%&!@*up, the government is all about ending your rights period, and the loony toons on the left are creating, with the help of our school system, generations of slaves to the state…. this generation better get off its$#%&!@*and start fighting this or we are giving up our children and future to the rich and powerful…
That’s stupid they stand on the corner in cities openly dealing drugs the way to combat lawlessness is enforce the laws that are already on the books. When those are enforced and only when they are should more be enacted.
Just can’t fix stupid!
F**k Massachusetts
Do we really want the government to have this much say so over our lives?
There are plenty of things that I don’t do that are completely legal. They’re playing things that I don’t do that are completely moral. But just because I don’t do them doesn’t mean it’s okay for the government to take away my right to do them. Your logic is flawed.
There is a federal law on the books for this under customs laws
Make your compartment lock digitally. With a key card or with your phone. That way if they search your vehicle it will not be able to be opened and will be completely un noticeable.

the problem with your argument of what people need, is that when you talk about personal freedom and civil liberty and everything is in sesame to survive but it is a necessity to be a free human being. I may not desire to use a gun for self-defense, but if I am to be free and I have to have that ability. I may not have anything to hide, but if I am to be free I must have the ability to secure my privacy.if we allow the government to take away our rights based on what is needed to survive, and there’s very few rights that we would actually have left.
